Topic outline

  • Researchers at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences are doing a study about Recovery Colleges.

Since Recovery Colleges are a new innovation in mental health care, not a lot is known about how well they serve their students.  For example, there are still many questions about what kind of impact Recovery Colleges are having on students’ lives, or what kinds of additional programming students think should be included.

In this study, researchers are interested in coming up with a way to evaluate Recovery Colleges using input from the students themselves.  Our team is looking for students to interview by telephone or Webex (a videoconferencing platform), one-on-one, for about 45 minutes to find out what they think matters most to them, as Recovery College students.
